Looking for a unique opportunity to blend urgent case acuity with the pace and work-life balance of scheduled appointments? BluePearl Veterinary Specialists in Virginia Beach is seeking an Urgent Care Doctor to join our 2-site locations (Chesapeake and Town Center). We’re creating a community service to provide access to higher-acuity veterinary cases on days, evenings, and occasional weekends.

You’ll have the ability to consult with, or refer to, our surgery/internal medicine teams in addition to the ability to deliver emergency-tilted medical and surgical skills. While surgery/endoscopy/imaging isn’t a requirement, we have advanced training opportunities for endoscopic foreign body retrieval, emergency surgeries, and ultrasound capabilities for those interested in expanding their comfort in practicing autonomously.

This position can be full-time or part-time with flexible and adjustable hours.

About BluePearl Chesapeake & Town Center:

Our Chesapeake hospital is a 10,000 square foot facility that offers internal medicine, I-131, oncology, and diagnostic ultrasound services with a 16-slice CT scanner, and video otoscopy. Our Town Center location is a 14,000 square foot, newly renovated facility which offers soft tissue/orthopedic surgery, oncology, and dermatology with a 64-slice CT scanner, telemetry, ultrasound, and endoscopy.

Our facilities are located within 20 minutes of the Virginia Beach oceanfront as well as downtown Norfolk. Every year, Virginia Beach hosts the East Coast Surfing Championships as well as the North American Sand Soccer Championship. The Museum of Contemporary Art is also within a few miles. The City of Norfolk offers both cultural and sporting events year-round. Both the Chrysler Museum and the Chrysler Center are located within minutes of downtown. Nearby attractions include Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, and Water Country.
